Artist Statement

Being the animated person that I am I tend to have different personalities that like to shine at certain times.  My intention for this body of work was to immerse myself in a solitary meditative state. While making the work, I realized that I allow people to see some of these characteristics while others are concealed and hidden from the public.  By leaving the creatures small it allowed me to become aware of what their personalities were and how they’re related to me. By making so many creatures they now have a village rather than a gathering. But isn’t that what life’s all about? Coming together and meeting new people only to eventually part ways.

Artists and Places I would Like to visit

Cai Guo Qiang is a Chinese artist that uses instillation as his art work. He does various things but my favorite would have to be his gun powder pieces.

Hayao Miyazaki

Johnny Cash (He's not exactly a Fine Artist but an artist nonetheless and a great inspiration to me)

Wendy Klemperer
I love her metal works, they're majestic and they just draw me in.

Jan Fabre is AMAZING!! I love the metal work thats put into each piece and the sizes are life size and bigger.

minus this piece....I am pretty sure that its not metal ^_^

Places that I'd like to visit

Well its not really cities that I want to visit but I would like to go to

1) Ireland- Its beautiful and I want to see it in person not just images on the internet or from photographs. I want to visit Kilkenny and Dublin, and pretty much all of the cities within Ireland ^_^

2) Australia- My sister went there to study abroad and said that it was GORGEOUS! so again I would like to see it with my own eyes.

3) Japan- I am a big fan of their culture and love the music and appreciate the art that has come out of it. Plus the black market does traditional tattoos and I would love to get one (one day ^_~)

4) New York- (Okay so this is a state but whatever ^_^) My parents were born and raised in Long Island. I would love to visit there and see Manhattan where all the awesome art work resides.

5) Italy- My brother and his wife went there for about a month and loved it (though they refuse to go with a tour group again and suggested that you should go solo ^_^). Who wouldn't want to go to Italy and see all the great architecture and art work?
